Day 01- Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi, met and greet at airport. Transfer to hotel for check in. You can opt for Half Day City Tour
of Delhi (if time permits), else rest at your hotel. Overnight Delhi.
Day 1
Arrive at the Bandaranayake International Airport; you will get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Our local representative will greet and transfer you to hotel in Negombo (30Min approx.).
Day 2
Following delectable breakfast, check out and drive to Habarana (210Kms / 5Hrs approx.). Enroute stop at Chillaw, to visit Munneswaram Temple and Manawari Temple.
Also visit Divurum Pola, this is the place where Goddess Seeta underwent "Agni Pariksha" . It is a popular place of worship among locals in this area.
Day 3
Following leisurely breakfast, check out and drive to Trincomalee (95Kms / 1-2Hrs approx.).
Arrive Trincomalee and check in at hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast, check out and drive to Sigiriya (100Kms / 2Hrs approx.).
Day 5
Following breakfast, check out and drive to Kandy (90Kms / 2Hrs approx.). Enroute visit Dambulla Cave Temple.
Day 6
Post breakfast; proceed for a city tour of Kandy.
The Kandy city tour will include a visit to the Gem Museum, Batik shops and even a Tea museum if you’re interested. You will then be left to enjoy lunch on your own and will be taught how to find your own tuktuk back to the hotel.
Day 7
Day 8
After breakfast, visit the landmark of Hakgala botanical Gardens which is mentioned as the Ashok Vatika in Ramayana.
Day 9
Begin your morning on sacred note of visiting the temple of Kataragama which is dedicated to the god of love and war – God Skanda or Murugan.
Later check out and drive to Colombo (270Kms / 5Hrs approx.). Enroute stop at Galle Fort.
Day 10
After breakfast, start exploring Colombo City.
Visit Anjaneyar Temple. This is the first Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka and also the only Panchamuga (five faced) Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka. It’s the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Ajanyear.
Later visit Kelaniya Temple. After King Ravana’s death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana. The Kelani River is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and Vibeeshana palace was said to be on the banks of this river.
You can also explore local markets of cosmopolitan city of Sri Lanka.
Overnight Colombo.
Day 11
Post breakfast, check out and transfer to Colombo international airport for your flight back home. Bid farewell to your memorable trip of Ramayan Trails of Sri Lanka.
