Beach & Backwaters Trip

Arrive Cochin, you will be met & greet at airport.

Later transfer to hotel located in the ancient town of Fort Cochin. Cochin or Kochi is a beautiful city in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. Over the years, the history and development of this city carry marks of the British, Arabs, Chinese, Dutch and Portuguese.

Check in at hotel and sped rest of the day at leisure.

Optional: In evening watch ‘Kalaripayattu’, the oldest martial art form in the world.

Overnight Cochin.

Following  breakfast, proceed for Cochin sightseeing includes visit to Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Afternoon is free for shopping and in the evening witness a theatrical performance of the major art and dance form of Kerala ‘Kathakali’.

Following  breakfast, proceed for Cochin sightseeing includes visit to Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Leisurely breakfast, check out and head towards Kumarakom (50Kms / 1Hr approx.).

Kumarakom is popular tourist backwater hub is a cluster of islands on the eastern banks of Lake Vembanad. With the huge lake on one side and with a network of calm canals running through it, Kumarakom, a masterpiece created by man and Nature together.

Reach jetty, embark private houseboat to cruise in the narrow backwater canals. Watch paddy fields, palm fringed countryside, local markets and life of locals near the lake. You will be served with delicious Kerala food cooked exclusively for you by our houseboat crew. Overnight Houseboat.

Following breakfast, disembark Houseboat at jetty and drive to Mararikulam (27Kms / 30-45Min approx.).

Praised as Kerala’s cleanest beach sand, Mararikulam (Marari) is a typical old fishing village, located on the southwest coast Kerala. Mararikulam or Marari gives a complete new experience to a traveler as it offers pure and pristine shoreline, swaying coconut palms, thatched huts, tiny paths and a mesmerizing view of the sunset.

Arrive Marari, check in at hotel and rest of the day is free to explore tranquil beach located far away. This shore destination is blessed with some luxurious resorts with all modern amenities. The composite beauty of this place lures a large number of tourists for memorable holidays.

Spend your days at leisure. You are free to pamper yourselves with healing ayurvedic massages, lying idly in hammock, feel the swift breeze while walking on shoreline, explore nearby local village lives and much more.
