Your Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Colombo / Negombo
Arrive at the Bandaranayake International Airport; you will get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality. Our local representative will greet and transfer you to hotel in Negombo (30Min approx.).
Arrive Negombo, check in at hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure.
Negombo is a major city in Sri Lanka, located in Western Province, Sri Lanka. The Bandaranayake International Airport is located close to this city. The city is known for its great and olden trawling industry with busy fish markets, sandy beaches, hotels and restaurants. Due to bounty of seafood, the town restaurants are gourmet’s delight. There are also local handicrafts, batiks and jewellery boutiques on the beaches and shops in the city. Fishing and tourism is the main economy of this city. Overnight Negombo

Negombo / Wilpattu /Anuradhapura (Surface)

Day 3
Anuradhapura
After breakfast, proceed for a tour of the ancient world heritage city of Anuradhapura.

Day 4
Anuradhapura / Mihintale / Sigiriya (Surface)
Today’s breakfast will be followed by a visit to the very historic Mihintale temple in the morning. Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Sri Lankans to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. It is now a pilgrimage site, and the site of several religious monuments and abandoned structures.
Later, you embark on unique village tour. Tour includes visit to a village marketplace along with your Guide and later visit to village house. You can learn and join them to experience how traditional Sri Lankan food is cooked and eat with the family of the household and end the day’s activities by taking a walk in the village.
Post lunch; continue your drive to Sigiriya (75Kms / 1.5Hrs approx.)
Arrive Sigiriya, check in at hotel and rest. Overnight Sigiriya.

Sigiriya
After an early breakfast, climb the 5th century rock fortress of King Kashyapa.

Day 7
Kandy
Post breakfast; proceed for a city tour of Kandy.
The hill capital is another “World Heritage Site”. It was the last stronghold of the Sinhalese Kings during the Portuguese, Dutch and British rule and finally ceded to the British in 1815 after an agreement.
The Kandy city tour will include a visit to the Gem Museum, Batik shops and even a Tea museum if you’re interested. You will then be left to enjoy lunch on your own and will be taught how to find your own tuktuk back to the hotel.
Afternoon you will get an opportunity to Visit to the Temple of tooth in Kandy which houses the sacred tooth relic of lord Buddha.
To the Buddhists of Sri Lanka and the World, Kandy is one of the most sacred sites as it is the home of the “Dalada Maligawa” – Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.
You will then attend a very colorful cultural show filled with elegant traditional Kandyan dancing and fire walking. Overnight Kandy.

Day 10
Yala / Ahangama (Surface)
Early morning, start your day with game drive in Yala National Park with packed breakfast.
Yala National is well known as the home to the highest density of leopards in Sri Lanka. Apart from the many birds, elephants, deer etc. However, if you’re very lucky, this safari will give you an opportunity for some of the rare sightings of these Leopards and even a Sloth bear in their natural habitat. Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka, bordering the Indian Ocean.
Return to hotel, check out and then proceed to Ahangama (170Kms / 3Hrs approx.). On the way, we stop at Tangalle and walk through a rice field to a village where you can try some unusual local delicacies. You will see daily life and may even take part in some traditional Sri Lankan games. We then head back to our bus in little tractors used by the farmers.
On completion continue your journey to Ahangama and check in to your hotel you are free to enjoy a well-deserved beach stay at leisure for the remainder of the day.
Enjoy 2nights stay at Ahangama – a village in the deep down south of Sri Lanka where a small fishing community is famous for its fishing techniques.
Overnight Ahangama.

Day 11
Ahangama
After breakfast, proceed for excursion to Galle.

Day 12
Ahangama
Day is free to explore scenic town of Ahangama. Relax and enjoy its oceanfront, beaches and museums. Overnight Ahangama.

Day 13
Ahangama / Home (Flight)
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Colombo international airport (165Kms / 2-3Hrs approx.) to catch your flight back home. Bid farewell to your memorable trip to Sri Lanka.
