Red Panda Expedition Trip

Arrive Delhi, met and greet at the airport. You will be assisted at the time of check-in & briefed about your tour. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day is free to relax. Overnight Delhi.

Post breakfast, proceed for Full Day Guided Sightseeing of Old & New Delhi.

Start your Day with Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, the Royal Mosque, which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1656. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, the old colorful shopping bazaar. Later drive past Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Continue to Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.

In the afternoon, visit New Delhi – the imperial city created by British architect Edwin Lutyens as the capital of India. Drive through the diplomatic enclaves of Delhi Rashtrapati Bhawan, now the official residence of the President of India, Parliament House etc.  Visit India Gate, a war memorial arch built in honor of 90,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, the first great example of Mughal architecture in India. Conclude tour at Qutab Minar– a 72.5 meters high and has five distinct storeys Mughal Tomb. Conclude your tour with stop at Dilli Haat. It provides the ambience of a traditional Rural Haat or village market, but one suited for more contemporary needs. Here one sees a synthesis of crafts, food and cultural activity. Overnight Delhi.

Today check out and board your flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival in Bagdogra, met and driven to Darjeeling (90Kms / 3-4Hrs approx.). Arrive Darjeeling, check in at hotel and take rest after a long day. Overnight Darjeeling.

Today after breakfast, check out and begin your Expedition journey to Singalila National Park. First, you drive to Manebhanjan by SUV Car & transfer into Land Rovers to reach Habre’s Nest travelling through the spectacular and rough landscape of the Eastern Himalayas.

Upon arrival, you will meet with the trackers who would have been out during the morning looking for red pandas. This will help you to proceed on search of pandas on very first afternoon in forest if time permits. Overnight Habre Nest.

All your days at Habre’s Nest will be routine & follow same schedule every day.

After daily breakfast, get ready and set out on foot with our expereinced trackers in search of the red panda. Whilst most of the walking trails are accessible directly from the lodge, Land Rovers are readily available to transfer you to sightings made further afield. You will also get the opportunity to explore rich birdlife of the area in early mornings in surroundings of your stay. Overnight Habre Nest.

Following breakfast, check out and transfer to Manebhanjan by Land Rovers and from there drive to Darjeeling in normal SUV car. Arrive Darjeeling, check in at hotel and rest of the day is free.  Overnight Darjeeling.

Wake up early in the morning to drive to Tiger Hill from where you can see the most spectacular

Sunrise as the first rays of the sun hit the Himalayan peaks on Mt.Kanchenjunga and Mt.Everest.

Return to your hotel for wash n change and breakfast.

Post you breakfast drive to the Darjeeling Railway station to enjoy a ride on the World Heritage Steam Locomotive Toy Train up to Ghoom Station enjoying a photo stop at the famous Batasia Loop.

In the afternoon you will visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Padmaju Naidu Zoological Park which is famous for the conservation of Snow Leopard’s under captivity. Post this visit to the Tibetan Refugee Centre – run by Tibetan Refugees to preserve their handicrafts and one can see making of Tibetan Carpets, Leather work, Paintings and Wooden work etc. Overnight Darjeeling.

After breakfast, drive to Bagdogra airport (90Kms / 3-4Hrs approx.) in time to catch your flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival in Kolkata, met and transfer to hotel. Check in and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight Kolkata.

Today after breakfast, proceed for Full Day city tour of Kolkata.

Your Tour includes visits to Dalhousie Square, Flower Market, Howrah Bridge, Indian Museum, Victoria Memorial, St. Paul’s Cathedral & Mother House.

Overnight Kolkata.

Today you will be transferred to airport in time to catch your flight back home or to onward destination. Bid farewell to your Expedition Journey with wonderful memories.
